the most difficult essay in my opinion was the fist essay about the summer reading project mostly because we were just comming in from summer and my brain was still mush and i didnt want to write.The easiest essay was the one where it said should a hero abide by the law or break the law if its the right thing to do because i liked the prompt so naturally you will be able to write about something the you find engaging.My favorite book we read in this class was not really a book i liked reading those short stories early american literature i belive it was called.i didnt like the summer reading book it just wasnt to my liking i also enjoyed in cold blood.Mr.Thomas i would like to let you knoww your a cool teacher your style of teaching is great and different and it fits you as a person thanks for helping me become a better writer.

things i carry

i carry a gold watch with me pretty much every where I go. I look at gold as something with value and a coveted item. I look at my self the same way gold its just something that pushes me to achieve more with my life. the watch part of it reminds me we have a certain time period in order to do things in life. together gold and a watch to me is like you have to do something gold worthy in a timely manner.
   I want a island a castle and I want to feed better the situation of the impoverished parts of Africa. I carry this with me always because idk I like flashy stuff like owning a plot of land with a house on it I wouldn't feel accomplished. I feel like its certain things I need to do in life I need to go beyond whats expected of me. and helping impoverished parts of Africa I carry that with me because I want to be remembered forever I want to be studied in history books I don't want to die and be forgotten in time.
    of course my mother is my Martha but I want to use kanye west. People look at kanye as this crazy individual but I look at him as a visionary. he broke down walls in order for future generations to do things. kanye started a high fashion clothing brand first black rapper to do that most just take the easy way out by creating street gear. kanye also created the yeezy which retailed at 250 and sold for as much as 15000 no shoes flip like that so it proves anyone can create something great. he aslo speaks anything that he is feeling without being afraid of the repercussions and I admire that.
     Andrew stylish, business minded, sponge. anyone who knows me personally or just sees me will know im very into fashion. cloths and my aperaence are very important to me so I take it to the max and I feel like I do an amazing job. I am also very into business I like money and what it can do and the cirle of money is super clear to me so yea I like it and I want to get the most out of it. and im a dried sponge I try to such up as much as possible in order to make me a better personas a whole and improve me.
    as a child my mom always told me I was special she loved me I can do it. so I have super high self esteem. and over the years I have built this nonchalant attitude towards certain things and I surround my self with eagles not pigeons in order to keep me sharp. so like my mom kinda molded me into this ander I am like that's why I want to be the best at everything I care about because she taught me not to settle she said quality will last. and I thought she was talking about material items but its applys to both intangible items as well so yea that's why im me.

when you try to create your own distinctive identity sometimes you lose the culture of your parents. but in creating your own identity you don't have to lose what your parents instilled in you just build upon it. money has always been something that was an interest to me and at a young age my mother taught me the value of a dollar getting the most out of my money how to save etc. now that I am older and I really am getting to know what I want in life I am able to use money in a more productive way I know how to save and manage and make more money just from my mother teaching me a little at a young age. and my mother also taught me to never be a close minded person learn as much about the world as you can possibly learn and it will take you farther in life. that has caused me to meet new people it makes doors open and makes me happy because im able to figure my self out and know what I like and what I want and it drives me to acquire those things. so even though those were just lessons my mother taught me that was apart of her own distinctive culture and it built me as a person and I was able to establish an identity.  

haunted house to fall of the house of usher

fall of the house of usher is an amazingly written story. What makes these types of storys great in my opinion is the word usage. For example Poe uses words like "dreary" and "gloom" to give the reader a since of eeriness. Most good scary stories or haunted house storys are able to get the reader to feel a certain way by their use of words and Poe does this.
      secondly a good haunted house story is able to capture the reader and make you want to finish the story you are interested in whats going to happen next. I also felt a connection with the main character in the story I felt like I was their with him and I usually don't get that sucked in to a story.
      Finally a good haunted house story can create a since of scariness before monsters ghost etc are introduced a good haunted house story doesn't need anything extra the extra just adds more to the story to make it better but you know its good if it relys on its self as a base to get the point across.    

I think America is fascinated by the occult because its interesting.People in general dont want their entertainment to be the same as normal life they want something different.Humans want something out of the ordinary they want something that isnt in their everyday life. The occult can be seen all over tv shows like supernatural, teen wolf, and true blood and all of these shows are very popular because they are just escapes from the normal world its something you know will never happen so it's just pure fun and entertainment. So america pretty much falls in love with the occult because its something different and fun.
